4th is not good enough!

The SAVA SPRINT INTERNATIONAL III did not go as well as anticipated. We came in 6th (which is last) in the 500m Final & missed the 200m Finals by 0.3s. So near & yet so far. One stupid incident happened which once again proved that there are more assholes in this world than I thought possible. Some asshole actually complained to the race organiser we got SAFRA rowers to row for us which is total bullshit! 1 ting I really hate about Dragonboat is there are some assholes in the circuit which are really KNS 1. Keep going around complaining about this & that. Damn boh leow de! Despite that, I am sure everyone had fun and I am glad all of us agreed to stick together for River Regatta instead of moving to the Paya Lebar Team. I would like to thank every1 for coming down and putting in their best especially our Captain, ZY. She keeps complaining I have not praised her enough in my blog so now I should tell the whole world wat a wonderful job she has done for the past few months. Hahaha. I decided to nominate her for the Coach of the Year award leow. Must also thank our one & only & biggest fan, Xiao Mei who came down to support us for the 2 race days. The girls in the team were great! Can tell they really put in a lot of effort. Cass nearly fainted! Hehe. Last by not least, finally a real race with friends as promised. Hope to do better next time!

SAVA SPRINT INTERNATIONAL III

The draw for the ultimate WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP is done & we are in the finals!!! We have made it to the Finals!!! In case u r wondering wat I am writing about, it is actually the SAVA SPRINT INTERNATIONAL III (something like the World Cup for Dragon Boat). Our newly formed team qualifies for the Final of the 500m race. If u r wondering again how the hell we made it into the Finals, let lim pei enlighten u. Hehe. I deduce that there could onli be 2 reasons for it after many rounds of scientific analyzing, means testing, public polls, research and focus groups discussions. The 1st is many world established teams (Like Brazil, England, and Italy) withdraw after learning we are taking part. No point racing for 2nd place mah. The 2nd is the organizer finally woke up their idea & discover it is a pure waste of time for us to participate in the Heats cuz we will surely make it to the final 1 mah. Hahaha. Jokes aside, I am really glad that I am able to row in a real race with friends. It would be so fun!!! One of the ‘STRONGEST’ rower in the team, CT (FYI; he benched around 200kg and can run a full marathon in less than 45 mins) has already prepared his winning speech, booked the open top bus for the team to tour the city with the trophy and of cuz booked the Indian restaurant at Esplanade for the gala dinner leow. Can't wait for the weekend to cum!
